Izzy, Shy, Tia and I watched a pretty nifty movie recently. Called Punish Me it was a tale about an older (50) woman probation officer and a very young (16) man with a history of petty crime who is assigned as one of her cases. The youth quickly becomes attached to her, basically stalks her, and offers himself to her as her sadomasochistic plaything. She rejects his advances at first but eventually succumbs to (their mutual) desire.
The actual plot was predictable (one might even say inevitable) in that you knew it could never last. But it was beautifully acted and pretty remarkably non-judgmental in portraying a relationship that violated multiple taboos. Plus, totally loaded with scenes full of throbbing adolescent subguy hotness.
Watching this flick got me to thinking (not for the first time) about other movies & tv shows that have F/m scenes, characters, or relationships. One of the first that always leaps to my mind is that sizzling hot interrogation scene in Blade 3 (an otherwise unremarkable movie, IMO) where Parker Posey beats the living crap out of cute sidekick guy.
Half a moment's thought brings up Exit to Eden of course. And the classic icon Princess Ardala. Well, ok...maybe she's only classic to me because I know how large a figure she was in tia's early fantasy life. I was never actually a fan of Buck Rogers back in the day and have only recently developed an appreciation for the show. But still, I've got to give props to a woman who keeps a tiger-man and a panther-man around purely for physical satisfaction. Of course my own tastes would run toward a different sort of man...peacock man maybe?
